FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE MARCH 16 at 12 NOON
Ahh, Spring Break, that time-honored U.S. phenomenon and academic tradition that started during the 1930s as a special vacational period in early spring at universities and schools. For many it's a chance to get away, escape to warmer climates, and get a little R&R. But here at the State, we know better.
Here at the State, Spring Break is a chance to indulge in an veritable moviegoing feast the likes of which can be seen nowhere else -- a full week of FREE FILMS. That's right. 7 Days. 36 Movies. All FREE! Talk about an escape. Heading to Daytona Beach has got nothing on getting swept away on a jolly holiday with Mary Poppins or traveling back in time to 1950s Hill Valley with Marty McFly.
So check out this year’s all-killer-no-filler lineup below and start making your plans to join us downtown for a week-long movie party that tops anything going down at a poolside cabana. There’s truly something for everyone with kid matinees every morning at 10 am.
Tickets are free and you can pick them up in person at the State Theatre, reserve them over the phone by calling 231-947-3446, or order online starting FRIDAY, MARCH 16 at 12 NOON. Limit four tickets per screening per person. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Standby lines will form for sold out movies, and we almost always get everyone in.
