For the past two years the documentary has been traveling the film festival circuit around the US and EU, winning the Snake Goddess Award in Greece. Filmed 30 miles north of Traverse City, and directed by Patrick Pfister, the film was produced in Barcelona, Spain with the sound mixed and mastered by Tom Weir, a Grammy Award winner, in Los Angles. The Stone Circle is a triple ring of 88 large boulders forming a natural amphitheater. The circular arrangement of boulders and setting were designed by poet bard Terry Wooten to capture the atmosphere of ancient cultures that gathered in family or community groups to exchange stories of everyday life and lore. The film features performance poetry, music and storytelling.
